The PwC study found 42% of UK CEOs have implemented AI like ChatGPT over the last year compared to just 32% globally. Only Norway, Japan and Finland have been quicker to deploy the transformative technology.

AI promises efficiency gains but also poses risks like job losses that must be carefully managed, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva warned. Still, the UK's strong services economy gives it an advantage in leveraging AI's benefits compared to manufacturing-reliant countries.
