Einstein Copilot to Handle Unstructured Data in AI Upgrade
Salesforce is taking Einstein Copilot, its conversational AI assistant, to the next level. In February 2024, Copilot will gain the ability to retrieve and reason over unstructured data like emails and PDFs. This upgrade will optimize everyday business operations for Salesforce users across sales, service, marketing, commerce, and IT.
Copilot will leverage Salesforce's new Data Cloud Vector Database to access unstructured data. The database eliminates the need for expensive language model fine-tuning, saving time and money.
Salesforce also unveiled Einstein Copilot Search. The enhanced AI search feature taps into real-time structured and unstructured data to answer complex questions and provide smart recommendations.
Together, the database and upgraded Copilot aim to optimize productivity by surfacing insights from all data, structured and unstructured. The new offerings will pilot in February 2024 alongside the general availability of the upgraded conversational Copilot.
Though not yet released, Microsoft's Copilot offerings like Viva Sales provide a glimpse of how Salesforce's Einstein Copilot will likely function. Microsoft is a front-runner in enterprise AI assistants.
But with its robust data ecosystem and AI cloud, Salesforce is poised to deliver a uniquely valuable copilot. Unlocking unstructured data and combining it with structured data promises more comprehensive and actionable insights for customers.
